Acintya Bheda Bheda Tattva

Way back in the early 2000’s when I was 17 I was a big fan of Kula Shaker. I still am. I’ve no doubt that passing out with a cassette of Peasants, Pigs & Astronauts on repeat into the early hours is in part responsible for me now residing in India.

The magic of mantra is the mesmeric trance induced with each repetition. This particular mantra is pointing to the infinite oneness. The indescribable notion of God that is beyond language.

The lyrics read like poetry. The instrumentation speaks to a mystical experience. These records have been influential in my spiritual journey.

Tattva, Acintya Bheda Bheda Tattva

Like The Flower And The Scent Of Summer,
Like The Sun And The Shine,
Well The Truth May Come In Strange Disguises
Send The Message To Your Mind.

Tattva, Acintya Bheda Bheda Tattva

At The Moment That You Wake From Sleeping
And You Know It’s All A Dream,
Well The Truth May Come In Strange Disguises
Never Knowing What It Means.

Tattva, Acintya Bheda Bheda Tattva

For You Shall Be Tomorrow,
Like You Have Been Today,
If This Was Never Ending,
What More Can You Say?
