Today, I walked to big banyan tree. Buried deep in the jungle behind sweet water lake, it’s a holy site of magic and wonder.
Benji and I decided to take the path less traveled. It took longer and was tougher than the well trodden track. We encountered many obstacles and had to reverse from dead ends but the euphoria of reaching the summit was sublime.
Looping round over the plateau we were stunned by it’s expansiveness. After crawling and climbing through closed spaces to reach the top it was a great relief. Descending on the main path took us into the river pools where we splashed around for half an hour. A well deserved reward for our efforts.
