In the local papaya here in Goa there are lots of seeds. Cast them out to the ground and it’s likely a plant will grow up from the spot. Seeds continue the cycle of life.

Further north in Jaipur there are no seeds. The fruit is tasteless.

I wrote about the Bharat Bandh recently. The farmers strike is an ongoing protest in the struggle to retain local control of agriculture.

A law has been passed that changes the shape of the agri-food business. It could decimate the industry, put thousands out of work and starve millions. Imperial interests are driving corporations to open up Indian agriculture to free markets.

Indian farming is at a tipping point of which there could be no return and a bleak outcome. Like a seedless fruit, this new deal could spell the end of natures cycle.
