As we enter the fifth week of lockdown in the UK, beyond the confusing details of the restrictions placed upon us, the availability of green spaces and freedom to enjoy them is questionable. Police are using sweeping new powers under the Corona Bill to arrest folks simply going about their day.
The universal declaration of human rights decrees ‘Freedom of movement’ as a birth right:
(1) Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each state.
(2) Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country.
In the context of this ‘pandemic’ these issues needs must be addressed. Right to roam has been extended to the whole of Scotland. Why not extend that to the rest of the UK?
