Too many things

What are the essentials for a successful day? An early start? A hearty lunch? Time spent with a friend? Some work? Physical exertion? Telling someone you love them? Self practice? Watching the sunset?

Modern technology and social media in particular has created the illusion that we must be ever doing. Relentless stimulation distracts us towards too many things. Some folks call it FOMO.

There are myriad ways to optimise our time, to make space for competing priorities. In the end we do what matters. The rest falls away.

Don’t sweat the small stuff. Stop to appreciate the things that matter most. It’s where the magic happens.
