I did a Celtic breath workshop recently. It was amazing. I’m writing an in depth piece to be published in the coming weeks.
One thing that I’ve noticed is that I retain breath. I hold it in. I’ve written about this before.
Some folks breathe real shallow, only into the chest – this leads to anxiety and worse. Others, like me, breath more deeply, but hold the breath. It’s a kind of coping mechanism.
My daily breath practice has steered me towards a more full exhale. I really activate my core to expel the air. Its made a huge difference to the quality of my breathing.
Remember to breathe out before you breathe in.
