There’s this Hawaiian thing called Hoʻoponopono. It’s a way of asking for reconciliation and forgiveness. I used it recently to repair a friendship. This practice is grounded in acceptance, responsibility, gratitude and love. It’s surprisingly powerful.

It goes like this:

I’m sorry.

Please forgive me.

Thank you.

I love you.
