The Pareto principle

The Pareto principle states that 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes.

Apply this principle to an aspect of your life. Maybe you’re training for a marathon. Perhaps you have a project that you’re working on. Even something like improving your flexibility. Twenty percent of your effort will yield eighty percent of the results.

Drill down on your practice. Figure out where that sweet spot lies. Take the time to identify the tipping point of performance.

Invest more time on that one thing and you’ll see greater gains. You’ll also have opportunity to cut out the less productive activity and put that energy elsewhere.

It’s an expansive efficiency ripe with possibility.
